've been caught up in a whirlwind of good news this past week and I'm not complaining! I've got some big announcements and some very exciting things that will be kicking off just around the corner. Today I had one of my favorite online retailers, ModCloth contact me about an exciting challenge they are selecting a few bloggers to participate in. I will be sharing uniquely styled looks using some of their pieces to hopefully be featured on their Polyvore site. So stay tuned for that!
In other news, it's official...I'm moving to New York City at the end of next month to start a PR internship with Stella McCartney at her showroom in Chelsea! I was shortly contacted after applying and kept my impromptu flight up there on the DL waiting until I heard back following my interview. I felt pretty confident but didn't want to jump the gun by telling everyone and jinxing myself (yeah, sometimes I'm superstitious). Much to my excitement, I was offered the position right after my interview! That means the week after I graduate college I'll be saying goodbye to good 'ol North Cackalacky and transform into a New Yorker (don't worry I'll keep saying "ya'll" and won't lose an ounce of my southern charm). I'm thinking that another addition of 'Surviving NYC' is in order!

Everything is moving so fast and I feel so grateful for it! My life philosophy of 'if you dream it, you can do it' keeps proving itself true. Twenty-one is a big year for me- from interning with Seventeen Magazine, graduating college, moving to NY and now working for one of the top fashion designers in the industry...WOAH! I'd like to think my five year old sequin-obsessed self would be proud.
Along with interning, I want to really get my personal shopping biz up and going and keep wardrobe styling shoots/editorials on the side. There's something wonderfully alluring about not knowing what's next and discovering my potential to its fullest. I feel like I have so much to do and can't wait to get started! This is just the beginning and I'm happy to have you all with me along for the ride!
