Today's Look: Sweater Weather

Williamsburg, Brooklyn

've arrived back in the south after a less than comfortable twelve hour bus ride from the Big Apple. As much as I hated to leave, I was happy to be reunited with my pooch and see my parents yesterday evening for dinner and a showing of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (happy birthday, Dad!). I've got to say, my apartment feels like a mansion compared to the 900 sq. feet I was sharing among six other residents over the past two weeks! It taught me how to master fierceness while living exclusively out of a suitcase. Nonetheless, I had a great business trip filled with styling photo shoots with models from a few of the city's top agencies (like Adam), pulling clothing from designer showrooms, and catching up with a few of the friends I made over the summer during my internship with Seventeen Magazine. I'm told the day we shot in Central Park was the coldest it's been in 60 years (-15° with windchill)! It's amazing I didn't catch pneumonia-- all in the name of fashion! After surviving all of that, I'm pretty confident I can take on just about any challenge.

Now, on to today's threads...

Finally, my oversized sweater has made it to me all the way from South Korea! (I ordered one in black too from Yesstyle.com). I love how easily you can dress it up or down. As you can tell, I decided to do a little mixing of both casual and dressy with a form fitting skirt, sky-high Alice+Olivia booties and a fuzzy leopard beanie. A pop of pink on the lips (close enough to claim its 2014's color, orchid) and this swanky opal necklace means I'm good to conquer the day--what you don't walk your dog in 5 inch platform wedges?? You're missing out!
