The answer? Yes! Chambray is one of spring's hottest trends. I know what you're thinking- the denim look is SO 90s, but guess what, the 90s are trending this season. But have no fear, you don't have to look outdated in this throwback style. In fact, it's the perfect approach to a minimalist spring chic look that you'll feel comfortable in going on a picnic at the park or even out shopping with friends. However, there are dos and don'ts to this look.
DO: Mix light and dark denims (light typically works best on top, whereas dark shades go well on bottom. If you are more curvy or carry your weight in your hips, this will be most flattering.)
DON'T: Go all out. It's okay to wear a top and pair of shorts both in chambray, but don't overly accessorize it with matching shoes and jacket. Can you say OVERLOAD??
DO: Add pops of white. Keeping colors cool works really well for this look.
DO: Make it effortless. You can certainly dress up the look for evening, but keep it simple.
DON'T: Acid wash if you really want to avoid that whole overly retro look.
