Vintage Hollywood

Mary Pickford was labeled America's first sweetheart by being the greatest silent film actress throughout the 1920s. She won the 'Best Actress' Oscar for her adult role in Coquette in 1929.

"You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down." - Mary Pickford

Today, other entertainers love wearing vintage inspired looks. Katy Perry can be seen on the red carpet sporting a modern sequin flapper dress. The flapper dress made its debut in 1926. Flappers were known for dancing the night away in the 'Roaring Twenties'. Flappers were identified with having short, sleek hair, long cigarettes, thick makeup, and carefree, rebel spirits.

Anne Hathaway elegantly wore Vintage Chanel at the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Award Gala, NY.

Zooey Deschanel can almost always be spotted in vintage clothing, adding her own quirky touch. She's been in such movies as 'Yes Man', '500 Days of Summer', and 'Failure to Launch'. She won 'Best Actress' for her role In 'All the Real Girls'.
